Developing a professional website is the result of an amalgamation of multiple and varied talents and skills. By getting the mix just right, Itomic design and develop web solutions that exceed site objectives.
The development process includes:
We meet every demand of this process by utilising the following inhouse skills:
Throughout the development process, we focus of some key areas of consideration to ensure we consistently create websites of the highest standard.
As you can imagine, at Itomic we spend a lot of time on the Internet. We've grown accustomed to website traits and trends, and you could consider our web savviness to be above average. But that doesn't matter at all! What matters is the regular users of your website. Website customers can range from your 12 year old niece, to your 65 year old father.
Itomic understands that websites aren't second nature to everyone - in fact they're far from it for the vast majority of the population. That's why we strive to build websites that are as intuitive and easy to use as possible.
We create websites that are accessible to the majority of people and devices.
Denying disabled users access to your website, or not taking them into consideration is the equivalent of closing the door of your office on potential customers. Similarly, a website that is incompatible with emerging technologies (such as hand held devices) also reduces your potential audience. Hence, making websites as accessibile as possible means smart business.
A disabled viewer reading Itomic.com might be using Screen Reader software to view our website. In this case, one of the first things read to them would be links to our Main Content, Main Navigation and Search Box. These links aren't viewable on our styled design, they're hidden (you can take our word for it, or view the un-styled version of Itomic.com to see for yourself - click here again to toggle). They allow disabled users to quickly jump to the most useful area's of our website, rather than having to wait for their Screen Reader software to slowly read out the entire page before they can decide where to go. You can also view the un-styled version of Itomic.com on a PDA or other Internet capable device with a small screen.
Our use of XHTML coding makes this functionality simple to include in the websites we build. The clean code is easily understood by Screen Readers, in contrast with older code which contains extraneous markup (that confuses Screen Reader software and users).
Itomic are also able to add to your website more specialised features and advanced enhancements. ›› See Advanced Website Features here.
