March 31, 2011

Ross Ross Gerring

Itomic are very pleased to announce the addition of 2 new developers, Kieran Molloy and Sam Hassell, to our Perth office.

Keiran Molloy – Web Applications Developer

Kieran joined Itomic at the start of March as a full time web applications developer after having worked as a freelance developer for the past 3 years for various companies in Perth. In his spare time Kieran plays the guitar and writes music and performs regularly at gigs around Perth.

What first attracted you to Itomic?
I was introduced to Itomic by an employer who Adam had worked for. After having a quick look I was immediately impressed by Itomic’s recent Web Awards, their Perth and Melbourne Offices and their involvement with AWIA, who encourages the advancement of the Web design industry in Australia. This appealed to me the most because I felt I could be certain of a personally and professionally rewarding position within a company that is committed to extremely high quality web development.

Do you have an all-time favourite movie?
Either Fight Club or Four Brothers.

What music do you like to listen to when working?
I enjoy listening to For Today, Atilla, The Ghost Inside, Phil Collins and various 90’s hip hop artists.

Do you play sports or do you follow Aussie rules? if so what team?

I follow Super-15s Rugby and I support either the Force or the Hurricanes.

What is your favourite thing to do in your spare time?

I enjoy writing music, going to local shows and skateboarding.

If you could live anywhere in the world where would you like to live?
I would love to live in England or Canada but I’m sure it would be too cold. Maybe Hawaii 🙂

Sam Hassell – Drupal / Web Applications Developer

Sam joined Itomic this month as a full time Drupal Web Applications Developer. Sam has been working with Drupal for 6 years, as lead developer and freelancer for businesses in Australia and overseas. Sam helped set up a business in Hyderabad, India back in 2006 where he lived for 8 months. Sam’s first Drupal project was Fishwrecked.com which he built with a mate in 2005.

What first attracted you to Itomic?
Most prolific Perth company using Drupal. I met Alex through the Drupal Perth meetups and he had good things to say.

What is your favourite thing to do in your spare time (when you are not developing websites)? Would it be fishing?? 🙂
Surfing, rockclimbing, hiking, boating & fishing – basically anything outdoors.
I also like making/drinking homebrew, growing veges in the backyard and DIY stuff on my house.
Gaming (World of Warcraft & Minecraft at the moment), reading, and web surfing when I’m tired of all the above.

If you could live anywhere in the world where would you like to live?
Down south – Walpole/Denmark region or around Margaret River in WA.
Or overseas – Kathmandu – would love to live there for a while – actually anywhere near the Himalayas. Maybe even Canada or Alaska or Switzerland.
